Is this
for me?
GOFP is designed for a specific type of advisory practice. Not every advisor is the right fit, and that is intentional. Here is how to know if it works for yours.
Built for independent,
fiduciary advisors.
GOFP is designed for a specific type of practice. We are selective about who we onboard, not to be exclusive, but to protect the quality of the experience for every recipient.
Independent RIA
You own your practice and make product decisions without broker-dealer approval. Solo or boutique firms, up to a dozen advisors. You can onboard a new platform without an approval chain.
CFP® or recognized credential
You hold a recognized professional designation such as a CFP® or CFA®. Recipients deserve to know they are meeting with a credentialed professional. Credentials are displayed on your gifting page.
Fiduciary, always
You act in your clients' best interest 100% of the time. No commission-based products, no conflicts of interest. The fiduciary standard is core to how GOFP is structured and why recipients can trust the advice they receive.
You offer project-based planning
You currently offer or are open to offering one-time or limited-scope planning sessions, not just ongoing AUM-based advisory. The Clarity Session and Roadmap packages are the foundation of the GOFP offering.
You have an existing client base
GOFP works best when advisors have existing client relationships to activate. Your clients are the gifters. The platform gives them a way to act on goodwill they already have but no mechanism to express.
You want warm introductions, not cold leads
GOFP is not a lead generation tool. It is a referral cultivation platform. The prospects it produces arrive pre-committed and pre-qualified. If you are looking for cold outreach volume, this is not the right fit.
Five questions worth
asking yourself.
Do you have clients who would naturally want to help people they care about?
If your clients trust you and value what you do, there is a good chance they would gift a session to someone in their life if the mechanism existed. GOFP is that mechanism.
Have you ever wished there was a more natural way to ask for referrals?
Most independent advisors feel uncomfortable making a direct referral ask. GOFP replaces the ask with an offering. Clients gift on their own terms when the moment is right.
Do you have clients whose adult children or networks you have never been introduced to?
Only 13% of heirs keep their parents' advisor. GOFP creates a pathway to those relationships before the wealth transfer happens, not after.
Would you be comfortable delivering a focused, one-hour planning session?
The Clarity Session is a single focused hour on one defined topic. If you already do project-based work or discovery sessions, this is familiar territory.
Are you open to a new revenue stream that operates independently of AUM?
Each gifted session is a paid engagement. Whether or not the recipient becomes an ongoing client, you earn. For advisors looking to diversify beyond AUM, this is a natural complement.
Who it is
not designed for.
GOFP is not for every advisor. Being clear about this upfront protects the experience for recipients and for the advisors who are a strong fit.
Broker-dealer affiliated advisors
BD-affiliated advisors face additional compliance considerations that make independent platform adoption more complex. The approval layers required at most broker-dealers make onboarding impractical at this stage.
AUM-only practices
If you do not currently offer one-time or project-based planning, the gifting model does not fit your service structure. GOFP requires advisors to deliver scoped planning sessions, not portfolio management.
Wirehouse advisors
Large wirehouse compliance frameworks make independent platform adoption difficult at this stage. The infrastructure required to onboard a new third-party platform inside a wirehouse environment is not something GOFP supports today.
Sound like
a fit?
We are onboarding a small founding group of independent fiduciary advisors. Applications are reviewed personally. Takes about 5 minutes.
